Chalkydoodles: Reusable Party Banners, Hold the Wrinkly Mess

Here's another great idea from the Cool Moms!--Diana

Decorating for a party is often times the best part of throwing one--well other than the obligatory French Onion dip--but when it's all over, you're often stuck with a tangle of used crepe paper, wrinkled banners, and paper signs. Toss them and you feel kind of bad. Keep them and, trust us, they won't look nearly as shiny or appealing in a year.

That's why we love the idea of a reusable banner, like the handmade oilcloth and chalkcloth designs from Chalkydoodles. Just choose how many panels you'll need--maybe one for each letter in your child's name, plus a few extras just in case. Dallas mom Lyn Pollard will hand create an adorable banner that works for any party, family gathering, or festive celebratory happening.

When the party's over, just wipe off the chalk and store the banner for the next bash. Who knew eco-friendly could be so easy? -Kristen & Liz, Co-founders, Cool Mom Picks

Did they really say decorating is the best part of a party? I'm embarrassed to say that decorating is usually an afterthought for me. It's all about the menu and the activity at our house! But I love the idea of the reusable banner. One less thing to forget to buy before the party--or throw away after. What about you? Has anyone tried a Chalkydoodle banner?

I agree with Diana, I almost always forget about the decorations. I sometimes wish there was a service that would come in and do it for me. This is a great idea because I'll always have it handy!

That's a fantastic idea Jessie, especially the older your kids get.

Wow! That is a great idea. I have three kids, and I think it would be fun to have each of them do a panel or two. This way they are not only helping to decorate, they are creating the decorations.
